This sweet funny smart boy is the reason we walk on October 13th in the Energy for Life walkathon. He is a son, a brother (big and little!), a nephew, a grandson, a student, a friend and he has a horrible disease known as Mitochondrial disease. He loves cars, tractors, his bike, his train bed, riding horses, snuggling, reading and he has Mitochondrial disease. He gives the best hugs in the ENTIRE world, the kind that you still feel long after he has left the room. On the outside Finn looks like every other 4 year old on the inside his body is struggling to do basic functions, he has an energy disorder that affects his GI system, brain, nervous system, lungs, immune system. Basic functions that most of us take for granted zap this sweet boy beyond believe. Imagine being told that there is NO CURE, none. To us that is unacceptable, and while we cannot move mountains to make a cure we walk and dedicate our lives to help fund research to find a cure so that this sweet sweet boy can LIVE.
Please consider joining us on October 13th at Freedom Park to raise money and awareness for this disease that is robbing so many adults and children.
